Honeywell's Anthem Integrated Flight Deck is the Future of Flight. Responsibilities

As an Advanced Software Engr within our Next-Generation Avionics (NGA) group, you will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation and advancement of Flight Display systems. As a flagship product, the Anthem Flight Deck System is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.

As part of the CODA (Core Display Applications) team, you will be responsible for the design, development, software integration and verification of Core Displays to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform. You will own software modules, deliver features, implement functionalities and contribute to technological advancement.

  • Work alongside a passionate team of engineers and designers to create and implement software solutions for Anthem Flight Display Systems.
  • Software architecture design for core Display applications.
  • Craft and implement high-level embedded C++ code for robust and user-friendly technology.
  • Create test cases for software based on use cases from system and software requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functional teams to gather insights and enable seamless integration of software components.
  • Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from concept through implementation and verification.
  • Stay engaged with the latest advancements in avionics technology and software engineering practices.
Qualifications

You MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Software, or Computer Science.
  • 4+ years of embedded software development (Aerospace/Avionics, Displays technologies, Gaming, Graphics software or related).
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, OpenGL, Vulkan, etc.
  • Object-oriented development experience.

WE VALUE

  • Understanding of software development life cycles (DO-178C preferred), methodologies and tools.
  • High-level embedded development, graphics software and/or user application development experience.
  • Experience in complex system integration projects.
  • Experience with avionics products is a plus (Displays & Graphics, Flight Mgmt, Flight Planning, etc.).
  • Knowledge of software change management practices and certification requirements.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
