Principal Software Engr

Overview

As a Principal Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for acting as the subject matter expert by providing technical guidance, vision, and leadership on critical software development projects. You will take ownership of technical solutions, drive innovation, and ensure the highest standards of quality and performance. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the strategic vision and execution of critical software development projects, shaping the technical direction of the organization, mentoring teams, and driving innovation to deliver world-class software solutions.

• Leverage technical capabilities to lead design, development, and delivery of complex software projects.
• Demonstrate mastery in a variety of programming languages, development frameworks, and tools.
• Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring the production of robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

• 6 years of experience leading software development projects.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python.
• Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges, providing creative and effective solutions.
• Expertise in software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
