As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Phoenix, AZ.

Technical Skills- Agile Software Development
- Expert-level Python (FastAPI, Celery, SQL Alchemy)
- Extensive distributed / fault‑tolerant / resilient software design experience
- Experience with CI/CD tools and platforms (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
- Software performance optimization
- Ansible Configuration Management
- Linux System Administration (RHEL)
- RESTful Service Design
- Web Application Security
- Serve as technical leader, driving design and development for scalable, secure, and high‑performance applications
- Act as an individual contributor developing, testing, debugging, documenting, maintaining, and modifying multiple applications
- Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and establish best practices across the development lifecycle
- Champion Agile methodologies and actively participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define and refine requests into technical requirements for new features and enhancements
- Analyze existing and propose new software based on support and maintainability, associated costs, and adherence to enterprise standards
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines

- Propose, design & code software solutions to address complex business needs, overseeing required technical and procedural documentation.
- Lead complex problem solving.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.
- Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
- Customer Focused – Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Managing Risk – Assessing and effectively managing all risks associated with business objectives and activities to ensure adherence to and support of PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
