Job Summary
The Full Stack AI Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving Power
X’s internal technology products, digital platforms, and AI‑driven initiatives. Duties include developing the employee portal and dashboards, mobile applications, company websites, internal business tools, and AI/automation projects. The role reports to the VP of Information Technology and the Head of AI Strategy.
- Application & Platform Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain the internal employee portal, operational dashboards, and mobile applications (iOS/Android). Collaborate with Marketing to support company websites and digital properties.
- AI & Automation Development: Lead AI‑initiative roadmap execution, including LLM integrations, intelligent workflow automation, predictive tooling, and internal AI applications. Build and maintain business forms, approval workflows, and process automation tools.
- Systems Integration & Data: Design, build, and maintain integrations with ERP, HR, payroll, and workforce management systems; develop APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
- Code Quality, Security & SDLC: Write clean, documented code; conduct code reviews; enforce security best practices; manage SDLC phases from requirements to deployment; stay current on AI advancements and recommend emerging capabilities.
- Additional Responsibilities: Provide support for evolving business needs and act on cross‑functional requests.
- Agentic coding throughout the workflow (specification writing, code generation, testing, reviews, evaluations). Final ownership of all code.
- Specification focus: AI-generated specs precede implementation.
- Continuous code review loop using AI agents, with human oversight for sensitive data.
- Evals integrated before shipping to detect regressions.
- 4+ years of professional software development with demonstrated AI‑integrated solutions.
- Proficiency in front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and back‑end technologies (Node.js, Python, .NET).
- Extensive AWS experience (IAM, Code Deploy/Code Pipeline/Code Build, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, Cloud Watch, API Gateway, Elastic Beanstalk);
Azure/GCP familiarity is a plus. - Solid understanding of RESTful API design, JSON/XML, relational/non‑relational databases.
- Daily agentic coding environment usage (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.).
- Proven production delivery of AI‑integrated applications, including LLM integrations and at least one of agentic workflows, tool use, or structured output.
- Git and collaborative development workflow experience.
- Strong communication skills for translating technical AI concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Mobile development experience (React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin).
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, vector databases, or multi‑model orchestration pipelines.
- Building reusable skills or tools for AI agents.
- CMS and web development (Word Press, Contentful) for marketing sites.
- Workflow automation platform familiarity (Power Automate, Zapier).
- Project tracking tools (Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Click Up) and Agile/Scrum methodology.
- AWS certification (Developer – Associate, Solutions Architect, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Collaborative, working effectively across IT, Marketing, HR, Operations.
- Open to rapid technology change and focused on the problem, not the framework.
- Curious, self‑directed, quick to learn new technologies.
- Detail‑oriented, produces clean, maintained code with careful edge‑case handling.
- Passionate about AI, bringing enthusiasm and real‑world experience.
- Strong communicator to senior leaders and business stakeholders.
- Must pass a satisfactory background check.
- This is an office desk position with no significant physical exertion.
- May be required to lift up to 15 pounds.
