Join a company where passion meets purpose! We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer who specializes in IBM IMS Transaction Manager (TM) and Database (DB) application programming. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and modernization of our IMS-compatible technologies as part of our Enterprise modern platform.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Lead the architectural design and development of IMS TM and DB-compatible technologies.
- Translate complex mainframe concepts into high-performance implementations for distributed and cloud environments.
- Model real-world IMS application scenarios and provide strategic insights based on your IMS expertise.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to ensure high reliability and performance of enterprise-grade features.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on development or maintenance of IMS TM and DB applications on IBM z/OS.
- Deep knowledge of IMS architecture, including message-driven architecture and hierarchical database access.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, or similar systems programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IMS exit routines or database utilities.
- Familiarity with mainframe modernization technologies and cloud-native design.
- Knowledge of COBOL or PL/I interactions with IMS environments.
