This internship will be responsible for executing a software developer level-1 role during the internship. The project, "Vision," aims to improve Discount Tire's point-of-sale system and overall in-store experience. The project is strategically aligned with the company’s commitment to delivering top-notch customer experiences. As a Discount Tire Intern, you will work with a team of experienced professionals and gain practical experience in a fast-paced, fun, and challenging environment.

You will have access to senior leadership and visibility across multiple facets of the Information Technology business with a program mission of "providing high-potential students' knowledge and experience to guide them in future career decisions." Additional program-specific activities will provide team-building opportunities and the requirement to present to senior leaders within IT business segments.

• Create documentation for each step of the SDLC.
• Implement automation wherever applicable within the entire SDLC process.
• Deliver at least one Jira story (XS-size).
• Provide regular progress reports and documentation.

• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, JavaScript, SQL).
• Experience in implementing a software project in school.
• AI knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of SDLC and ITSM concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Only Junior or Senior-level students or May 2026 graduates are eligible.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software systems.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
