Sr. Software Engineer – Healthcare/QNXT
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Pay Rate: $60–$70/hr on W2 (DOE)
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on designing, developing, and integrating complex healthcare software solutions. This role requires strong expertise in healthcare payer platforms, particularly QNXT, along with hands-on experience in .NET development, SQL technologies, and enterprise system integrations.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in software architecture, development, integration, and support within healthcare environments supporting Medicaid and Medicare operations.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable healthcare software applications and integrations
- Lead software architecture, technical design, coding, testing, and deployment activities
- Develop and support RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations
- Work closely with business and technical teams to define features and technical requirements
- Support QNXT platform enhancements and integrations
- Participate in system verification, validation, troubleshooting, and production support
- Drive software quality, performance optimization, and best practices
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
- Collaborate across teams in Agile/SDLC environments
- Support certification, release management, and change management activities
- 10+ years of software development experience in healthcare products/platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with QNXT (Tri Zetto/Cognizant healthcare administration platform)
- Experience supporting healthcare payer systems within Medicaid and Medicare environments
- Strong development experience with:
- .NET / C#
- SQL Server
- SSIS
- SSRS
- RESTful APIs
- Experience with software architecture, design, integration, and coding
- Strong understanding of claims processing, billing, enrollment, and care management workflows
- Experience with SDLC methodologies and software configuration/change management
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Healthcare EDI experience (HIPAA/X12 transactions)
- Experience with enterprise integration connectors and communication platforms
- Exposure to healthcare claims adjudication systems
- Prior experience in large-scale healthcare enterprise environments
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring developers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Self-motivated and proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Business-oriented approach to software development
- Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced environments
