Full Stack Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced developer specializing in AWS serverless technologies specifically Lambdas and Step Functions, with strong proficiency in NodeJS. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain serverless applications that are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective. This project is focused on Business Process Automation for our customer notification platform.
Job Details:
Not a contract-to-hire role
No preferred candidate location but must work core AZ hours (9am-4pm)

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop serverless applications using AWS services
Write, test, and deploy high-quality NodeJS code for Lambda functions
Create and maintain Step Function workflows to orchestrate complex business processes
Optimize serverless applications for performance, cost, and scalability
Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring for serverless applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design solutions
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards
Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS serverless technologies and NodeJS developments

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience developing applications using NodeJS
Strong proficiency in AWS services including:
Lambda
Step Functions
S3
DynamoDB
Kinesis
Firehose
Event Bridge
SQS
API Gateway

Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
Strong SQL skills
Solid understanding of serverless architecture principles and best practices
Proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification

Experience with Elasticache / DAX (Dynamo

DB Accelerator)
Knowledge of Dynamo

DB Streams
Postgres experience
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Git Hub Actions

Experience with Serverless Framework
Knowledge of Splunk for logging and monitoring
Familiarity with Disaster Recovery approaches
Expertise in Dynamo

DB data modeling

Experience with ECS/Fargate for container-based solutions
