Job Description:
Client is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with strong experience in Java and Karate Framework to support the development and testing of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions while ensuring the highest quality standards across the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Java development and test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Karate Framework for API automation testing.
  • Experience with RESTful API testing and validation.
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Karate.
  • Validate APIs, backend services, and application integrations.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and testing needs.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments.
  • Prior experience supporting financial services clients is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Maven, and other Dev Ops tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
