Sr. Software Development Engineer

Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring a Sr. Software Development Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ to design and develop software applications and platforms that support digital strategies and solutions. The role involves analyzing user needs, developing software solutions, preparing technical design documentation, upgrading existing applications, writing and reviewing code, performing unit and automation testing, deploying application components, supporting applications, systems, and databases for prescription, claim, and related healthcare activities, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

The candidate will mentor junior team members. Telecommuting is available.

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements.
• Determine feasibility of solutions, design, and prepare technical design documentation.
• Upgrade existing software applications and systems to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Write and review high‑quality code and perform unit and automation testing.
• Develop and deploy application components and support unit testing and bug fixes.
• Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings, CI/CD practices.
• Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on application development, technical requirements, code reviews, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices.
• Mentor junior team members.

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Five years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in software development or related occupation.
• Five years of experience in each of the following:

Pay Range: $ / year to $ / year. Actual base salary depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Eligible for bonus, commission, short‑term incentive program, and equity award program.
