As a Software Engineer II at Honeywell, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of complex aerospace systems. Working in a hybrid schedule from our Phoenix, AZ location, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Support the design and development of aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to integrate hardware, software, and network components into cohesive system solutions.
  • Participate in system verification, validation, and testing activities to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems.
  • Ensure system requirements are met and integrated effectively across hardware and software components.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems or software engineering, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes, including requirements management, system design, integration, and testing.
  • Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, MATLAB, or similar platforms, and familiarity with modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python, with experience developing scalable and maintainable software solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience working on complex aerospace projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
