Job Description
Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within the Honeywell Propulsion Controls Application Software Team. This team, part of Honeywell Aerospace’s Engines and Power Systems business, supports control systems on a variety of aircraft, including engine controls for business jets, military trainers, helicopters, and turbo‑prop applications for both commercial and military use.
Location and ScheduleYou will work out of Phoenix, AZ on a hybrid work schedule. No relocation is offered.

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
- At least 5 years of experience using procedural languages for embedded software development: C, C++, and/or core Java.
- Willingness to travel to the U.S. and/or internationally (10%).
- Python programming expertise
- Software development and documentation experience, including lean process expertise for FAA, DAL A certified products.
- Understanding of various software development life cycles.
- Ability to develop efficient and high‑quality software.
- Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
- Diverse and global teamwork and collaboration.
- Quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.
- Consistently make timely decisions even in complex situations, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
- Clear communication of complex messages appropriate for the audience.
