Software Development
Backend Developer, .NET Developer, Full Stack Developer, Front End Developer
We are hiring a Senior Developer who can go deep on complex problems and come up with solutions that guide the team toward a shared vision.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US, ideally with the ability to work within Eastern Time hours.
What we’re looking for:- You have 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong working knowledge of .NET, C#, MongoDB or similar.
- You can tackle large, complex engineering problems with a high degree of independence.
- You’re a subject matter expert in the features and systems your team owns; you identify gaps, propose improvements, and leave code meaningfully better than you found it.
- You champion technical innovation within your team: you evaluate new tools and approaches critically, advocate for the ones worth adopting, and help your teammates understand why.
- You set a high bar for code quality through thorough code reviews, strong test coverage, and clear documentation. You share your reasoning in a way that helps others grow.
- You communicate well across technical and non-technical contexts: you can write a clear design doc, facilitate a productive engineering discussion, and explain a hard problem to a partner without losing the plot.
- You have a practical, curious approach to agentic AI in the software development lifecycle: you use it where it creates real leverage in your own work, form opinions about what’s actually useful, and share what you learn with your team without needing to be prompted.
- You’re a strong mentor: you guide less experienced developers through pair programming, code‑review feedback, and technical conversations, and you do it in a way that builds their confidence and independence over time.
- Own the design and delivery of complex features end‑to‑end, from initial scoping through production, with minimal guidance and a high standard for what "done" means.
- Contribute to and lead technical design discussions within your team: write clear design documents, surface risks early, propose solutions, and build consensus around the right approach.
- Set and uphold best practices within the team (e.g. testing strategies, code‑quality norms, observability standards, etc.) and make sure they stick through code reviews and hands‑on involvement.
- Partner closely with product managers and designers to understand the customer problems behind the work, advocate for sound engineering, and help the team make good trade‑offs.
- Bring a practical, hands‑on perspective on where agentic AI tools create genuine leverage in your own workflow and share what works with your teammates.
- Experience evolving a legacy or growth‑stage application into an enterprise‑scale platform.
- Comfort across a wide range of technical stacks (.NET, C#, MongoDB, Go, Rust, Type Script, React, and others); you evaluate technology on its merits for the problem at hand, not personal preference, and you pick up new languages quickly.
