Senior Peoplesoft Developer

Under general supervision of the Information Technology (IT) Department’s People Soft Technical Supervisor, designs, codes, tests, documents and maintains high quality modifications to the People Soft Financials and HR applications in support of the SRPMIC general business.

Assists the People Soft Technical Supervisor with establishing standards and techniques for improving the application development processes and monitors those processes to ensure compliance.

Identifies and utilizes software development Best Practices to meet internal and external customer requirements.

Maximizes the productivity of the project team and the maintainability of Oracle People Soft Enterprise (PS) applications.

The Senior People Soft Developer leads project activities such as application upgrades, application of payroll tax updates and implementation of new PS modules and functionality.

Provides mentoring and leadership to the PS Support staff.
This job class is treated as FLSA Exempt.

The Senior People Soft Developer is distinguished from the People Soft Developer II by providing senior level technical leadership and assuming responsibility for more complex and difficult PS application development tasks.

Assumes a mentoring role and helps the People Soft Technical Supervisor coordinate development staff workflow.

Provides project management for development design and implementation tasks and accepts customer service challenges that have been elevated by the PS Support staff.
