The job of Campus Support is to provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibilities for ensuring the safety and welfare of students in various support service areas, including noon duty coverage, AM/PM duty coverage, classroom assistance, crosswalk coverage, and other areas as needed on campus.
This job reports to the Building Administrator.
Essential Functions- Assists students in providing safe access to and from assigned locations.
- Communicates safety and security policies and enforcement procedures to students, staff, and visitors.
- Maintains job‑related equipment (e.g., stop signs, jackets, sand bags, flags).
- Monitors individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
- Monitors student behavior when entering and exiting school grounds.
- Refers incidents (e.g., personal injuries, altercations, suspicious activities) to appropriate site personnel.
- Reports observations and incidents related to specific students to instructional or administrative personnel.
- Responds to inquiries from students and parents regarding campus security issues.
- Responds to various situations (e.g., accidents, injuries) to resolve immediate safety concerns.
- Supports classroom teachers and other school personnel to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Participates in unit meetings, in‑service training, workshops, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Required skills include adherence to safety practices, enforcing rules and regulations, basic math, understanding written procedures, and speaking clearly. Knowledge of safety practices, procedures, and traffic laws is also required. Abilities include scheduling activities, collating data, operating basic equipment, working with diverse individuals, and problem‑solving.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include working under direct supervision using standardized routines, providing information or advising others, and impacting the organization’s services.
Work EnvironmentPhysical demands include some lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, with significant fine finger dexterity. The job requires approximately 40% sitting, 30% walking, and 30% standing. The work is performed under temperature extremes and conditions with risk of injury and/or illness.
Experience: Desired job‑related experience.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
