Transportation Operator, Railroad

You’ll operate specialized equipment like excavators, hi-rail gear, and track machines to build and maintain railroad infrastructure. You know your way around a job site, and you take pride in precision and safety.

Operate excavators, loaders, hi-rail gear, and/or tie/rail handling equipment

Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance

Follow operator safety protocols

Work with labor crews to support job site production

Travel with crew as needed for project work

2 plus years experience in the railroad industry preferred. Will consider less depending on the type of equipment operated.

Railroad industry experience, including track maintenance and construction, preferred but not necessary.

Ability to efficiently carry out instructions.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and the necessary safety precautions needed for the work being performed.

CDL Class A or B preferred.
