Role Summary

The primary role of the Logistics Specialist (LS) involves loading and unloading tires for warehouse storage and/or timely customer delivery, including the unloading and staging of products at the customer’s business location. The LS is expected to represent Tire Hub professionally in all customer interactions, maintain safe driving practices, and deliver exceptional customer service while fostering strong customer relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Distribution of tasks including: general warehousing, delivery services, vehicle maintenance. Adjustments made as business needs evolve.
  • Load, unload, inspect, and tally tires to and from transport vehicles (trailer trucks/box trucks/delivery vans).
  • Follow Tire Hub safety standards for selecting, packing, counting, labeling, palletizing customer orders, and positioning them in designated locations using the bin locator system.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct and participate in cycle counts, tallies, and labeling as part of regularly scheduled and annual inventory control procedures.
  • Collect payments from customers on Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions.
  • Ensure vehicles remain clean and in good mechanical and physical condition.
  • Conduct pre/post‑trip vehicle inspections daily and immediately report any operational issues or mechanical defects.
  • Complete all necessary driver and vehicle maintenance logs on a regular basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all Tire Hub policies and procedures.
  • Participate and maintain ongoing training through in‑class, in‑person, or computer‑based learning modules, as assigned.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by Supervisor or other leadership members.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of general work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license; minimum 2 years of driving history (does not include driver’s permit).
  • Must be 19 years old or older.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, pull, push and/or move tires (up to 50lbs) with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Capable of frequent bending, twisting and lifting.
  • Multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Accurately and efficiently load, unload and place tires in warehouse and delivery vehicles.
  • Work up to 35 feet above ground level.
  • Work up to 8 hours per day on a forklift.
  • Follow traffic rules and regulations by safely driving Tire Hub vehicles to deliver tires to customer locations.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Manifest, GPS and Navigation systems.
  • Maintain a forklift certification.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
  • Required to lift, pull, push, and/or move tires (up to 50 lbs. or greater with or without mechanical assistance following standard operating and safety procedures). Other physical requirements include standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing and balancing.
  • Possibly handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment (gloves, eyewear, etc.).
