We are looking for a load planner for our Class A driving force in Phoenix, AZ. The hours are M-F 7am-3:30pm. This is an in-office position. $22-$24/hour D.O.E.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Load Planner to join our team. The Load Planner will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation of goods to ensure efficient delivery.
Responsibilities
- Utilize transportation management systems to plan and optimize freight movements
- Analyze data to determine the most cost-effective and efficient shipping methods
- Coordinate with dispatchers, carriers, and drivers to ensure timely deliveries
- Monitor shipment statuses and address any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Fill in as dispatcher when needed
- Accepts/confirms receipt of loads tendered through email or other electronic means
- Proficiency in a Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Strong analytical skills to type, analyze, and interpret data effectively
- Knowledge of logistics, freight operations, and dispatching procedures
- Familiarity with 3PL operations and transportation management systems
- Understanding of supply chain principles and best practices
- Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google docs
