As a Ready‑Mix Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of ready‑mix concrete to a variety of projects and customers. You will operate modern equipment in both industrial and residential settings, often working independently while knowing our team has your back.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate ready‑mix trucks to deliver concrete to job sites and company locations.
- Conduct daily pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections by DOT standards.
- Load and unload equipment and materials as needed.
- Monitor gauges and vehicle systems during operation.
- Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery records.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
- Perform minor truck maintenance and keep the vehicle clean and orderly.
- Support your team and supervisors with additional duties as required.
- Deliver quality service and represent the company with professionalism and courtesy.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years’ experience driving trucks of similar size and equipment preferred.
- Valid CDL A or B license required; must maintain an active, clear record.
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Hold a valid DOT medical card.
- Commitment to safe work practices and PPE usage (company provided).
- Willing to work up to 6 days a week with overtime as needed.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and travel for assignments.
- Team player with a positive attitude, strong communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to train and mentor others if experienced.
- Meet company, state, and federal driving standards.
- Expertise in operating mixer trucks and related equipment.
- Strong math, record‑keeping, and basic reading skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Experience securing and transporting heavy or oversized loads.
- Professional, courteous, and effective communication with customers and coworkers.
Work Environment Requirements
- Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
- Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 25–50 lbs as needed.
- Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
- Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
