The Reach Stacker Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach stacker to load, unload, transport, stack, and unstack shipping containers within the yard, warehouse, or terminal. The operator must follow all safety procedures, maintain equipment, and support daily logistics operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Safely operate reach stackers to load, unload, move, and stack loaded and empty containers.
- Transfer containers between trucks, chassis, railcars, and storage locations while maintaining efficient yard organization.
- Conduct pre‑shift and post‑shift equipment inspections and report defects or maintenance needs.
- Complete operational paperwork and electronic documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and yard personnel regarding container movements.
- Assist with yard housekeeping, traffic control, and other operational support activities as needed.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and site‑specific safety procedures.
$35.00 - $35.00 per hour

Job Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of reach stacker or heavy equipment operating experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required safety training.
- Knowledge of container handling operations, yard logistics, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safe operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, climb equipment ladders, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to maintain clear vision and depth perception for safe equipment operation.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, overtime, and other schedules as required.
