Linehaul Driver – Responsibilities
As a Linehaul Driver, you will transport freight between Southeast’s Service Center or designated points in-between. Operate a tractor-trailer combination (single or double) in urban, suburban, and rural areas in all types of weather conditions. Receive and verify dispatch instructions and verify load against shipping documents. When hauling hazardous material, verify the hazardous material product description, determine any discrepancies in the paperwork, and verify proper placarding.
Perform all duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.
- At least 21 years old.
- Minimum 6 months of driving experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL
A) with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements. - Pass background check and alcohol & drug test.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English; perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, and maintenance log.
- Meet DOT regulations and guidelines for commercial driver qualifications.
Pay: $0.892 per mile.
Work shift:
Third Shift.
