Materials Driver and Handling

About the Role

The Materials Driver will be responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and materials amongst our facilities in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transporting, sorting, and stocking materials, as well as providing support to the materials handling teams (Receiving, Shipping, etc).

• Perform simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly
• Observe all traffic laws and posted speed limits
• Deliver goods to clients
• Interact with customers/suppliers in a professional manner
• Collect required signature for payment and proof of delivery, and provide a receipt to customer/supplier/facility
• Return all required documentation to the appropriate company official
• Observe no smoking in delivery vehicle
• Maintain a neat, clean personal appearance
• Obtain all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform the appropriate company official
• Unload vehicle after completing delivery runs
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
• Familiarity with delivery practices and handling methods
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and workflow skills
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

• Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
• Continually exposed to outside weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to extreme heat or cold (non‑weather)

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
