Operations Associate

Job Summary

Operations Support responsible for controlling freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across various modes of transportation based on customer requests.

• Track and trace outbound shipments.
• Inspect outbound freight.
• Contract new carriers as needed and assign carriers, providing load tenders.
• Communicate freight status and any issues to other stations and customers, updating the system.
• Provide customer service and run reports.
• Data entry of shipments into the transportation management system.
• Handle domestic air and ground routing, including Canada.
• Negotiate freight rates and develop collaborative carrier relationships.
• Find and develop new logistics/freight opportunities and design carrier solutions for pilot offices and external customers.
• Work overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations when required.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Multi‑tasking while maintaining precise attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Typing speed of 35+ words per minute.
• Ability to work in a demanding, high‑volume environment, especially with email and calls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Tech savvy.

Pay Range: $24 per hour (anticipated starting salary, may vary based on market conditions and location).
