Position Description
Immediate opening for a solo Class A CDL Truck Driver in Phoenix, AZ.

- $1,220 or more per week.
- $29.50 per hour.
- 40+ hours per week.
- 1–2 nights per week booked in a Ryder paid hotel.
- Paid training.
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, no weekends. 4‑day work week, 10‑hour days. Start time 5:00AM. 1 day off per week. - Route:
Phoenix and surrounding areas within a 100‑mile radius, home‑daily/regional mix. - Tractor type: straight trucks.
- Trailer type: 24' & 28' straight trucks.
- Equipment: hand cart & lift gate.
- Freight: high‑touch, very physical – pet food.
- Uniforms and boot allowance provided.
- Paid personal time off: starts day1, 80 hours accrued in first year.
- Medical, dental, vision start at 30days.
- 12weeks paid maternity leave for qualifying employees.

- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Pass a Ryder drug test.
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3years.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
- ClassA CDL with verifiable experience: 9months in past3years, or 2years in past5years, or 5years in past
10years. - Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background requirements of the customer to whom you are assigned.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
