Certified School Bus Driver ​/ Maintenance Head

Role

School Bus Driver responsible for transporting students and passengers safely and efficiently to school and related events.

• Operate school buses, conduct pre-trip safety inspections, and report maintenance issues.
• Transport students, teachers, and parents, ensuring proper drop‑off and pickup procedures.
• Demonstrate emergency evacuation procedures and maintain safety regulations.
• Maintain route logs, update maps, and communicate with school staff.
• Manage student behavior and enforce discipline policies.
• Operate wheelchair lifts and secure passengers with disabilities.
• Perform minor vehicle repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
• Conduct safety checks of equipment and systems, and collaborate during renovations.
• Maintain cleanliness and order on the bus.

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years driving experience.
• Arizona Class B Driver’s License with endorsements, School Bus Certification, CPR/First Aid.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to operate vehicles with foot controls and use communication devices.
• Willingness to work collaboratively, with knowledge of relevant laws and policies.

• Background check, fingerprint clearance, and drug screening.
• Physical fitness for performance tests and medical certification.
• Willingness to work in person and perform maintenance duties.
