Assistant Dispatcher

• Help schedule drivers’ routes and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries
• Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up/distribute runs to drivers
• Support the lead Dispatcher by ensuring drivers count money collected and record delivery times on bills
• Work with Parts Pullers to help deliveries go out correctly
• Work with drivers and verify they know the correct route
• Update customers by phone on the status of their orders
• Assist drivers who have difficulty with routes or other aspects of the job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets

• Must have 1-2 years experience working as an assistant dispatcher or dispatcher
• Extensive knowledge of area roads
• Experience working with multiple drivers
  
  Prior experience working in an auto parts store is preferred

Demonstrates expertise in route scheduling and driver coordination, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining effective communication with drivers and customers. Proficient in cash handling and promoting workplace safety.
