The Lift Operator is responsible for safely operating a lift to stack, move, load, and unload chassis in support of terminal and yard operations. This position requires strong equipment awareness, attention to detail, communication skills, and a commitment to safe, efficient handling of chassis, containers, and related yard equipment.

(May vary based on individual terminal needs)

• Operate a Taylor lift (or similar equipment) to safely move, stack, stage, load, and unload chassis, containers, and related yard equipment within the terminal or yard.
• Unload chassis from flatbed trucks and stack them in designated areas using proper lifting, positioning, and safety procedures.
• Mount and dismount empty containers on chassis in accordance with terminal operating procedures.
• Inspect chassis and equipment before and after use, perform required pre-trip checks, monitor fluid levels, and report damage, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
• Coordinate with drivers, spotters, yard personnel, and Operations to ensure accurate placement, movement, and tracking of chassis and containers.
• Maintain accurate records of all chassis, container, and equipment movements in the depot management system.
• Support efficient yard operations by following staging priorities, traffic patterns, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company policies, terminal procedures, and operating guidelines.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday - Friday; 9am-6pm

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in intermodal trucking and handling containers
• Strong attendance record
