Local CDL-A Driver — Phoenix, AZ | JOB CODE: LOCPHX

• Freight: dedicated dry — bakery product
• Route: local shuttle, plant to DC, approx. 7 miles each way
• Yard hostling required at both locations
• You are responsible for sealing and securing each trailer before shuttling
• Occasional local delivery run when the plant is caught up
• Solo only (no teams on this account)
• Equipment: liftgate trailers, bread stacks on wheels
• Live load, full hand unload — this is a physical job

• $21.50 per hour to start
• $45 per stop unload pay
• Average $1,300 per week
• Weekly direct deposit
• Approx. 1,000 miles per week

• HOME DAILY

• NIGHT shift
• Weekend work required
• Holidays: off Thanksgiving and Christmas. All other holidays are subject to work depending on the day they fall on.
• Split days off possible
• Extra work days available if you want them
• Better days off become available as you gain seniority on the account

• Must live within 50 miles of ZIP 85043 (Phoenix, AZ)

This account is a critical link in the customer's operation — one accident or delay can shut the plant down, so safety expectations are high. You will hand-unload bread trays and carts and run a liftgate. Backing areas are tight. You will be driving at night.

If that's not what you want, this isn't your seat. If it is, the pay is consistent, the customer and onsite staff are genuinely supportive, you park your personal vehicle onsite, and you go home every morning.

• 21 years or older
• Valid Class A CDL
• Must have held a U.S. driver's license the last 12 consecutive months
• Current DOT medical card (new DOT physical required at hire)
• No endorsements required for this position

• 6 months OTR experience within the last 12 months, OR
• 12 months OTR experience within the last 5 years
• Experienced drivers only — no trainees or recent graduates on this account

• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
• No serious traffic violations in the last 12 months
• Speeding 30+ MPH over = automatic disqualification for 3 years
• Original ticket copies required for all citations in the last 3 years

• No more than 1 DOT preventable accident in the last 2 years
• No major preventable accidents in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 preventable incidents in the last 2 years
• Preventable rear-end accident = 1 year disqualification
• Accident reports required for ALL accidents in the last 5 years

• No more than 4 driving jobs in the last 12 months
• No more than 1 safety-related termination in the last 5 years

• No DUI/DWI in a commercial vehicle — ever
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years while holding a CDL or CLP
• No DUI/DWI in the 5 years before obtaining your CDL or CLP
• No multiple DUI/DWIs

• No failed or refused drug tests — no exceptions
• Hair AND urine testing required, both must be passed
• No drug-related convictions in the last 5 years

• Violence, theft, drug, and sex-related offenses reviewed individually
