Warehouse Associate

Position Description

Ryder is currently hiring a Temporary to Permanent Material Handler in Phoenix, Arizona.

Hourly Pay: $17.00 per hour
Pay increase: $0.50 per hour after 90 days if converted

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Accurately pick and pack products, audit, and stage items for loading.
• Manage day‑to‑day paperwork including picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possesses a high degree of initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.

Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle record checks, a road test, and/or background requirements of the customer to whom you are assigned.
