Responsible for shipping and receiving automotive replacement safety glass products and supplies; picking and packing glass products for internal and external customers utilizing motorized equipment with on-board computers to ensure order accuracy and inventory control; able to run and create reports relating to inventory and production (reconciliation, overs and shorts, breakage, etc.); assist with internal and external customer questions; perform non-production tasks such as inventory audits, part checks, filing and maintaining shipping documents, schedules, etc.;
provide training of backup personnel; other duties as assigned.
Inbound Operations duties include assisting with the daily inbound operation of the assigned shift to ensure the internal and external deliveries, stocking, replenishment, and uncrating processes are carried out by the warehouse personnel in a timely and accurate manner, as required by the current volumes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assigning employees to job tasks for proper completion; safety and incident investigation/reporting;
gathering information and making recommendations on matters involving Pilkington N.A. policies and procedures; ordering supplies, as needed; assisting with training of temporary and regular employees; acting as a replacement for any absence for any position required on shift; acting as communications liaison between shift employees and shift supervisor; attend off-shift meetings and training, as required; complete other duties as assigned.
Required
- Recent Sit-Down Forklift certification
- Recent Cherry Picker/Order Picker or Recent Reach Truck certification
- Quality and auditing experience
- Inventory computer knowledge
- Ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of departmental safety, quality, and operational procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to operate hand tools
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing 35-45 pounds on average and up to 70 pounds on a frequent/daily basis without assistance
- Must be able to work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the Phoenix region
- Excellent attendance record
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written)
- Good customer/vendor relations and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work overtime on short notice
- Able to work both independently and as a team member
- 2-3 years of recent Materials Handling Equipment experience
- Basic Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Operating Excellence principles and processes
Hourly Pay: $20.00 - $21.50 based on experience
