Job Description
Supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Branch ensuring all orders are picked accurately. The Quality Control Associate uses the Ship Ticket Audit software to audit each order for accuracy. After an order is audited, the associate prepares the order for shipment: organizes the pallet or box to avoid damage, ensures all required labels (customer, QC, mixed carton) are present, and stages the order in the correct area for on‑time delivery.
This is a safety‑sensitive position. The ability to work constantly in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre‑employment drug test for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidine, following U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration cutoff levels.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
- Able to identify product by size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Must be able to read orders and match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
- Basic math and reasoning skills required.
- Certification in power‑truck equipment.
- Operate inventory control equipment such as bar‑coding and handheld devices.
- Able to move or lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Can withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
- Spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
- May require climbing ladders for top‑level selection.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
