Warehouse Operator

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Warehouse Operator – Phoenix, AZ.

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the shipment, receipt, and distribution of materials in a timely and accurate manner. Assisting with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in materials, and storing them in the appropriate location. Filing appropriate documentation and processing sales orders and invoices in accordance with company process.

• Update and maintain warehouse location system
• Assist in cycle counting and physical inventory
• Prepare export documentation as required
• Maintain shipping supplies inventory
• Arrange shipping/transport
• Accept/reject vendor inventory transactions
• Build sound relationships with the workshop team and internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations
• Participate in customer on‑call service as required
• Expedite urgent orders to ensure customer receives them when needed
• Identify and report any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and/or near misses
• Comply with SMRT safety policies and applicable government, customer, or industry regulations or requirements
• Account for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audit goods received into warehouse
• Oversee receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures
• Prepare and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space
• Ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment
• Operate a forklift and lift up to 50 lbs
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of related warehouse experience
• Ability to successfully operate a forklift

• Proficient computer skills (receiving orders / locating parts)
• Independent, functioning effectively without assistance or direction from others

Compensation Range: $22 to $25 per hour
