Position: Lead Fulfillment Associate, OPA9

Lead Fulfillment Associate

The Amazon operations team is looking for Lead Fulfillment Associates with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers.

Lead Fulfillment Associates hold numerous roles such as Trainer, Process Assistant, Dock Clerk, Receiving Clerk, Shipping Clerk, Non-Inventory Receive Clerk, Regulated Waste Coordinator, Amazon Robotics (AR) Quarterback, Floor Health Monitor, and Data Analyst.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing production duties: picking/packing orders, receiving/stowing product, ensuring inventory accuracy, unloading and loading trucks.
  • Communicating instructions, motivating associates, and maintaining safe work areas.
  • Training associates, leading meetings, allocating labor, and supporting standard work in safety, quality and productivity.
  • Managing inbound and outbound flow, carrier communication, scheduling, and dock operations.
  • Overseeing waste programs and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Driving and executing standard work on the Amazon Robotics floor, including problem resolution.
  • Analyzing data to support quality and operations initiatives.
  • Coordinating cross‑department communication and escalation to leadership.

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work a flexible schedule: weekends, nights, holidays.
  • Capable of lifting up to 49 pounds; stand or walk for up to 12 hours; push, pull, squat, bend and reach frequently.
  • Work 40 hours a week, overtime as required.
  • 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1+ year of direct leadership experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing or large retail environment.
  • Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; coaching, training and assisting team members.

Compensation and benefits:
Starting pay is $22.00 per hour (based on location and shift) plus shift differential. Overtime pay and performance bonuses may apply. Benefits include employee assistance program, mental health support, medical advice line and 401(k) matching. For more benefits information, see
