Cycle Counter

Overview

This is a second shift position with hours from 2 PM to 10 PM. The employee is responsible for organizing, staging and delivering material to locations across Maricopa County. Hours may be 4 x 10-hour shifts or 5 x 8-hour shifts.

• Monitor warehouse inventory and perform cycle counting to verify materials against reported inventory.
• Conduct scheduled cycle counts to ensure actual physical count matches computer inventory records, three times per year.
• Research and document inventory discrepancies using available resources to identify root causes and resolve discrepancies.
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision.

This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. The test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and SAMHSA.

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
• Organized thought process with ability to produce accurate results, effective prioritization to meet deadlines, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use basic math.
• Must be able to pass a forklift certification test and operate a forklift or machinery on a daily basis.

Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility; regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision and close focus; occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. and frequently lift 55 lbs while stooping, kneeling, reaching and carrying inventory.
