Summary of Main Responsibilities and Duties
The Logistics Specialist supports the coordination of all logistics activities, including the receipt, organization, and delivery of materials, equipment, and company tools. This role works under the guidance of the Logistics Coordinator, Supervisors, and management team. The position requires the operation of heavy equipment such as reach fork telehandlers and forklifts (with appropriate certification). Responsibilities also include inventory management and material verification, particularly HVAC ducts and hardware at the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) construction site in Northern Phoenix.
Key Responsibilities- Load, unload, and transport materials, parts, and equipment between various locations on-site.
- Deliver and offload rental equipment to designated work areas.
- Operate heavy machinery, including telehandlers and forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support field and safety teams by delivering and assisting with setup of safety supplies and equipment.
- Consolidate materials for storage or shipment by locating and moving stock onto pallets or crates.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any shortages or quality discrepancies.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and logistical activities.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with engineers and construction management to ensure timely material support.
- Foster cooperative relationships with internal teams and on-site contractors and vendors.
- Work overtime as needed to meet project demands.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse, construction, or laydown yard operations.
- Ability to work outdoors in construction environments with minimal shade.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and to frequently stand, bend, and lift.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written communication)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Telehandler (Class
7) certification. - Over 3 years of experience in warehouse, construction, or laydown yard operations.
- More than 3 years of hands‑on forklift operation experience.
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break each day. Please note that this schedule is flexible and may be subject to change based on the employee and employer’s needs.
