Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate
This role focuses on accurately processing inbound shipments, handling physical unloading and loading tasks, and maintaining precise inventory records in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will use computers and mobile scanning technology to ensure all orders, packages, and materials are received, documented, and prepared for further distribution.
Responsibilities- Process inbound shipments in the system using a laptop, ensuring all data is entered accurately and promptly.
- Unload pallets from trucks or delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Verify paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments, confirming quantities, item details, and order accuracy.
- Use a mobile RF scanner to track inventory, scan items, and update order status.
- Perform general warehouse duties including picking, packing, loading, and unloading orders.
- Handle large orders and ensure they are correctly picked, packed, and prepared for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and, where applicable, forklifts to move materials and pallets.
- Palletize and package products securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist with inventory tasks, including stocking, order picking, and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and material handling guidelines while lifting, moving, and stacking products.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area and support team members as needed to meet daily shipping and receiving goals.
- At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse environment performing shipping, receiving, inventory, or stocking tasks.
- Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including handling large orders and general labor tasks.
- Ability to use RF scanners or mobile scanning devices for picking, packing, loading, unloading, and inventory tracking.
- Experience with order picking, order pulling, packing, packaging, and palletizing in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with material handling tools and equipment such as pallet jacks and, where applicable, forklifts.
- Ability to read and write in English to understand paperwork, labels, and basic documentation.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis as part of daily warehouse duties.
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for simple data entry and documentation.
- Demonstrated hard-working attitude and reliability in a physical, hands-on work environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using shipping software or systems (such as World Ship or similar platforms) to process orders and shipments.
- Experience in inventory control, stocking, and maintaining organized warehouse storage.
- Comfort working with RF scan technology for real-time tracking of orders and inventory.
- Previous exposure to packaging standards and best practices to ensure secure and compliant shipments.
- Strong attention to detail when verifying paperwork, counts, and product information.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a warehouse team, supporting collective productivity and safety.

This is a first-shift role with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a warehouse setting. The environment involves active material handling, including lifting up to 50 lbs, moving pallets, and working with equipment such as pallet jacks and possibly forklifts.
