ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop skills to oversee department personnel to ensure work requirements are met while minimizing costs and setting department priorities. Assist in creating or revising standard operating procedures and ensure personnel compliance with company policies, procedures, plant-wide safety, and rules of employee conduct.
Gain experience in interviewing, hiring, disciplining, training, and terminating department personnel.
Become proficient in effective communication with internal and external customers as needed. Follow up on manufacturing-related issues to completion and address concerns in a tactful and professional manner.
Acquire knowledge of effective employee relations and how to provide coaching and development.
Master the process of making employment decisions and resolving employee issues through problem-solving.
Understand how to balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas, and strive for continuous improvement.
Become familiar with supervising departmental performance measures, including visual controls.
Provide regular progress reports to the manager and develop the ability to set department priorities.
Help create and execute MPS objectives; meet MPS commitments and work within the guidelines of MPS.
Reflect MITER Brands business values and philosophy in all business interactions.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Read, write, and understand the English language.
Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
A minimum of 3-4 years of related progressive experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
May be required to frequently lift to 50 lbs. Depending on the job.
Hand dexterity and strength.
Prolonged sitting and terminal use.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Full-time position with standard working hours; occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations.
