Position Summary The Warehouse Lead position at St Marys Food Bank assists the Warehouse Supervisor in the oversight of team members and their work assignments This individual is responsible for loading and unloading trailers receipt of goods and material in the warehouse assisting other functions within the facility performing quality control checks of product incoming and departing the warehouse verification of product and product rotation following FIFO and FEFO principles Responsible for facility security opening closing setting alarm system and Saturday operations where applicable SHIFT Monday through Friday 500am 130pm
Essential Functions Assist with receiving weighing put away and staging of all incoming product
Assist with the staging verification and loading of all outgoing material
Coordinates the storage and rotation of all product within the coolers and freezers daily following FIFO and FEFO principles
Monitors all warehouse equipment to ensure preventive maintenance repairs are accomplished
Coordinates with other Departments to ensure timely and efficient support as necessary
Coordinates with Transportation on load assignments priorities and proper load procedures
Oversees the staging of all product designated for distribution
Maintains an orderly clean and safe warehouse environment at all times
Understand all team duties and responsibilities
Communicate effectively with team members supervisorsmanagers and all customers
Perform all other duties as assigned by Warehouse Leadership Any other tasks as business needs dictate
Performs all functions according to established policies procedures regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as applicable professional standards Provides all internal external customers of St Marys Food Bank with an excellent service experience
Scope and Complexity May interact with all levels of leadership employees agency representatives community neighbors volunteers external vendors and clients
Physical Demands Environment Factors Requires extensive standing and walking with sitting periodically
Use of PIT equipment such as Forklifts and Electric pallet jacks
Frequent lifting and carrying food boxes weighing up to 60 lbs occasionally throughout a shift
Stand walk push pull squat bend and reach during shifts
Work at a height of up to 40 ft on a mezzanine where applicable
Able to tolerate loud noises in the warehouse setting
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma GED or equivalent
Forklift Certification Familiarity with Radio Frequency RF Equipment Maintain positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
Able to accurately use basic math skills counting addition subtraction
Able to operate computer systems or handheld devices with minimal direction after receiving training
Good written and oral communication skills
Must be able to understand speak and read English with sufficient proficiency to follow safety and other policies trainings and instructions
