High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum 2 years of directly related experience.
Good reading and math skills.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with others.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to access and use computer systems, including email, work instructions, and attendance systems.
Steel-toed shoes required on start date.
Position SummaryWarehouse Support Material Handling - 1st Shift
Perform manual and administrative tasks supporting receiving, shipping, inventory control, and stockroom operations.
Support material handling, packaging, inventory accuracy, shipping/receiving activities, and warehouse operations.
Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime as needed, including weekends.
Responsibilities- Utilize material handling and packaging equipment.
- Identify parts, components, wires, and materials using markings, color codes, and labels.
- Follow parts lists, forms, desktop instructions, and work instructions.
- Perform bulk counting using scales and tape-and-reel counters.
- Package parts using proper packaging materials.
- Follow material handling and packaging procedures to prevent damage.
- Store, shelve, and place inventory according to established procedures.
- Use computer systems and printers for inventory transactions, labels, and labor charging.
- Conduct cycle counts and record results.
- Support customer service window activities and process material requisitions.
- Track materials through physical and system records.
- Receive, inspect, count, and process incoming materials and resolve discrepancies with assistance.
- Package and ship materials according to shipping instructions.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Distribute materials to internal plant locations.
- Build and break down boxes.
- Maintain packaging supply levels.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Train other employees and perform other assigned duties.
- Assist with kit-picking, cycle counting, computer transactions, team projects, and shipping/receiving activities.
Lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
Sit and/or stand for extended periods.
Bend, squat, stoop, reach, and turn as required.
Use hands, arms, and shoulders for extended periods.
Distinguish colors and meet vision requirements.
Work EnvironmentWork with products of various weights and sizes.
Use material handling tools, equipment, and hot sealing equipment.
Work around chemicals and adhesives that may emit fumes.
Wear static-control and personal protective equipment.
