Job Summary
As a member of the Comcast Global Accounting Organization, this role will be responsible for accounting and analysis related to various Customer Operations P&L accounts.
Core Responsibilities- Perform accounting and analysis for Customer Operations accounts.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes as needed.
- Prepare schedules to support accruals and quarterly financial statement analysis.
- Enter monthly journal entries with proper backup and ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliation to the general ledger.
- Research variances, determine root causes, and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Review financial statements for operating trends and results, research variances for forecasting and budgeting.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review.
- Research complex accounting data to comply with new accounting policy implementation.
- Develop automated Oracle routines (e.g., mass allocations) and workflow automation (Power BI, Data Analyze 360).
- Research and develop ways to streamline and standardize accounting processes.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance; be willing to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (preferred; alternative combinations of coursework and experience will be considered).
- 5–7 years of relevant work experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and strong PC skills.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Data Analyze 360, or other workflow automation tools is encouraged.
- Strong communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Commitment to safety, inclusion, and customer focus is desirable.
- Relevant certifications (if applicable).
