Registered Nurse RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Job Summary

Work Schedule:

7P-730A; every third weekend; holiday rotation.

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Deliver excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• Full Time Night Shift

• 19-bed unit with capabilities for telemetry cardiac monitoring.
• The most frequent diagnoses for the medical patients are cardiovascular conditions, respiratory conditions, diabetes, and infectious processes.
• The surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including, but not limited to, general surgery, urology surgery and orthopedic surgery.

• 30-bed unit with capabilities for telemetry cardiac monitoring.
• The most frequent diagnoses for the medical patients are cardiovascular conditions, respiratory conditions, diabetes, and infectious processes.
• The surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including, but not limited to general surgery, GYN, ENT and urology surgeries. Cardiovascular intervention/procedural patients (post cardiac catheterization, stent, and cardiac device placement, etc.) may be placed on this unit.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

• PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License
• BLS
• ACLS
