Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this job is to scan and/or enter numbers on the register, lift and move goods, make change, bag orders, and handle special projects as directed, including restock returns, replenishment of front‑end items (candy, gift cards and snacks), cleaning, and assisting with carts.
Duties and Responsibilities- Promptly review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies required, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties at the start of the shift.
- Block aisles, set‑up checkout areas, and set‑up displays as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Tally items, take money, and make change.
- Bag items and put bags into carts whenever necessary.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties satisfactorily.
- Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools required for this job.
- Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
- Must perform all job functions safely.
- Must meet company performance standards for the job.
- Must maintain regular attendance as part of performance standards.
- Must agree to wear proper assigned clothing and shoes approved for the job.
- Must have technical training (job‑specific requirement).
- Shift hours: minimum 4‑hour shifts or longer, depending on business needs.
- Job cycles: continual max.
- Lift/carry: up to 50 lbs.
- Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
- Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
- Max pull static: 20 lbs.
