About the Production Coordinator

The Production Coordinator serves alongside the Plant Manager. Main objectives of the role include planning and organizing the production process, ensuring availability of necessary material, equipment, and labor resources required for project execution, and collaborating with Managers to ensure project plans are executed efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing targets.
  • Supervise the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule.
  • Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production.
  • Oversee the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution.
  • Monitor a manufacturing team to ensure operations comply with health and safety standards.
  • Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee grounds and general building maintenance.
  • Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems.
  • Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specifications are consistent.
  • Conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimize work efficiency.
  • Work alongside the purchasing department in procuring raw materials and equipment required for maintaining and upkeeping of production staff and equipment.
  • Review personnel performance to determine individuals most suited for promotion.
  • Coordinate the flow of materials from suppliers to production lines to ensure manufacturing processes proceed without delays or shortages, monitoring rigorous inventory levels to maintain a seamless production schedule.
  • Print production labels to be included on specific shipments.

Manufacturing Working Environment
  • May include working indoors and outdoors.
  • May be exposed to excessive climates, including heat, cold, or extreme weather conditions.
  • Weather may include humidity, dampness, or chilling.
  • Prominent level of noise, continuous.
  • Working around machinery with moving parts, uneven walking surfaces.
  • Working around moving objects, forklifts, or vehicles, machinery/heavy equipment.
  • Exposure to dust, silica, fumes, odors, and/or gases.

Qualifications Required Skills / Abilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Speaks and understand English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Technical skills in operating and examining production equipment for faults.
  • Project management skills:
    Able to handle a manufacturing process to ensure timely and cost‑effective production.
  • Organizational skills:
    Adept at coordinating the different stages of manufacture to ensure seamless operations.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in production or chemical engineering, Electrical, Business Management, or any other specific to Manufacturing Industry.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar production line is preferred.
