About the OpportunityOur client in the financial services and insurance space is seeking an experienced Actuarial Lead to join their team on a contract basis. This role plays a critical part in shaping insurance product performance through pricing, reserving, and data‑driven insights that directly impact business decisions and customer offerings. You will collaborate with a cross‑functional group spanning finance, risk, and product teams, while also engaging with senior leadership and external partners.

YourResponsibilities
- You’ll lead actuarial input for income recognition across actuals and forecast models
- You’ll analyze and compare actual versus priced loss ratios, providing quarterly insights
- You’ll support pricing and reserving activities for auto‑related insurance products
- You’ll collaborate with finance, risk, and accounting teams to establish appropriate loss provisions
- You’ll extract and analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- You’ll engage with auditors and senior leadership to support reporting and forecasting accuracy
- Actuarial experience, ideally within the insurance industry, plus an ACAS designation
- Strong experience in pricing and reserving, ideally within property or auto insurance
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with data tools such as Python, R, or SAS
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and communicate insights to senior stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across cross‑functional teams
