Your role will involve significant collaboration with engineers and environmental professionals while mentoring junior staff. With a background in ecology, you will handle fieldwork, ecological surveys, and contribute to various environmental assessments. Strong project management skills and technical writing capabilities will be essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct ecological surveys in southern and central Ontario
• Manage biodiversity assessments and project documentation
• Perform Erosion and Sediment Control inspections
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications
• Communicate with regulatory bodies effectively
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology or related field
• 5+ years of experience in an ecological role
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Familiarity with environmental policies and legislation
• Project management experience is a plus
