Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair on- / off-road and heavy duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventative maintenance schedules, ensure proper function, and meet vehicle safety and quality goals.
- Assist with entering data in the mechanic’s maintenance and repair database (e.g., Web Fleet Assistant (WFA)).
- Communicates concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager.
- Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room, Dispatch, or Drivers.
- Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic license.
- Valid “AZ/Class 1” class driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract that meets Purolator’s insurance requirements.
- 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Troubleshoot Mechanical and Collision Repairs.
- Service Reports and Logs Maintenance.
Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
