Nuclear Welding Specialist

Transform the future of nuclear energy with Aecon as a Welding Specialist. Focus on advanced welding techniques for major refurbishment projects.
You will work alongside Atkins Realis and Ontario Power Generation on the Pickering Retube, Feeder and Boiler Replacement initiative, ensuring high standards of welding throughout the process. Your solid understanding of metals and welding principles will enable you to mentor welders and support compliance with established procedures. Your presence on-site will be critical to monitoring and improving welding practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and apply advanced welding techniques for projects
• Supervise and optimize welding processes on site
• Train and support welders in best practices
• Ensure all welding operations comply with specifications
• Troubleshoot any welding-related issues effectively
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Graduate of a welding technology program or equivalent
• CWB welding supervisor certification is a plus
• Strong command of arc welding equipment and processes
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and NDE methods
