Cellular Telephone Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems
• Install, maintain, and service telephone and wireless communication equipment
• Test installed systems and identify transmission or network faults
• Analyze test results and perform necessary repairs, adjustments, or upgrades
• Install and configure cable modems, telecommunications software, and internet connectivity solutions
• Repair or replace defective cables, power supplies, amplifiers, and related hardware
• Operate computerized testing equipment and diagnostic systems
• Complete service reports, testing documentation, and maintenance records
• Determine causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Provide technical guidance and training to apprentices and junior technicians
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and customer service expectations
• Travel to various client locations as required

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of telecommunications, wireless communications, or telephone installation/repair experience
• Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and equipment
• Experience using computerized testing and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel regularly

• Experience with cellular and wireless communication systems
• Telephone installation and repair experience
• Network troubleshooting knowledge
• Experience working in field service environments
