The MINDscapes LLC SLPA will provide direct therapy, conduct screenings without interpretation, document patient progress, and prepare materials to assist with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLPA will work in schools as well as our clinic, under the direct supervision of our CCC‑SLP.
Core Responsibilities and Duties- Direct Therapy: Delivering treatment to clients following individualized plans or protocols developed by the SLP.
- Screenings & Data: Administering and scoring speech-language screenings and collecting data, without interpreting results.
Documentation: Documenting client performance (e.g., tallying data, creating graphs) and reporting progress to the supervising SLP.
Material Preparation: Preparing therapy materials, equipment, and maintaining an organized, safe environment.
Support Functions: Assisting with clerical duties, scheduling, and training clients on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Collaboration: Working with the SLP, families, and educational teams, including implementing behavior management programs.
Key Requirements and Skills- Supervision: Must work under the direct supervision of a licensed/certified SLP.
- Education: This job requires SLPA certification.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, documentation abilities, and proficiency with technology.
