Phlebotomy Position

Pay Range: $17.55hr - $22.55hr

Requirement/Must Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
  • Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience.
  • Ohio Credentials Licenses Required.
  • Additional Testing:
    QuantiFERON and proof of Hep B shot.
Responsibilities:
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
  • Provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles.
  • Ensure daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, or In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
  • Direct daily activity in various environments including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, house call environments, or long term care facilities.
  • Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees and provide effective onboarding services to new clients.
  • Serve as a point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.
  • Work with customers who have high complexity or volume practices requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Collaborate with multiple functions such as Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, and Logistics.
  • Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills to solve problems and collaborate with stakeholders.
